A United States military man, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Collin Powell is a product of Harlem in New York City. Certainly he must be given credit for his great achievements, in particular, for his remarkable leadership abilities in leading Desert Storm, the military operation which forcefully evicted Sadaam Hussein from Kuwait. He has certainly demonstrated that a black person can come up through the ranks of the U.S. military to the very top. We wish him continued success.
